The Department of Gastroenterology at St. Vincent’s Hospital provides a comprehensive range of consultative and diagnostic procedures in gastroenterology. It has a particular interest in chronic viral hepatitis and other liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, therapeutic endoscopy, oesophageal disorders and functional gut disorders.

St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne hosts various specialised liver clinics, catering to different conditions. These include the general liver clinic, hepatitis clinic, hepatoma (hepatocellular carcinoma) clinic, and HCV treatment pathway clinics. Additionally, we operate a satellite liver clinic at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

  • Held on Friday mornings

Hepatitis Clinic, St Vincent’s Hospital Campus

  • Scheduled for Wednesday mornings.
  • Provides referrals for HCV treatment and consultation for GP prescription of HCV medications.

Hepatitis Clinic, Werribee Mercy Hospital Campus

  • Conducted on Wednesday mornings and alternate Thursday mornings.

Hepatoma Clinic, St Vincent’s Hospital Campus

  • Held on alternate Friday mornings.
